Belgium is especially densely populated in the Flemish Diamond (between the cities of Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Leuven). In Wallonia, the population is mainly concentrated near the rivers Meuse and Sambre, to the Borinage region in Hainaut. In the south, the Ardennes are a large sparsely populated region. The population density is shown by municipality. The cities on the map are the 15 largest cities in Belgium.
