Welcome to NWEGEO.com!

This website explores the geography, languages, and cultures of North-West Europe, with a particular focus on creating accessible resources for education and general knowledge. Our maps and resources can be freely used (with appropriate credit) by individuals, teachers, students, organisations, institutions, the media, social media creators, and others. Despite having a regional focus, we frequently discuss Europe as a whole to provide broader context.

In addition, we offer a growing collection of language-related resources, currently focusing on the Germanic languages: German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic. Our Instagram community dedicated to Germanic languages has been active since 2019 and continues to support language learners and enthusiasts.

The website was launched on 24 December 2022, which also marked the start of the NWEGEO Instagram page.
