About the Danish language

Danish is a North Germanic language spoken by more than 5.5 million people in Denmark. It is the national language of the country. In addition, Danish is spoken in Greenland, the Faroe Islands and the German region of Southern Schleswig. Written Danish is closely related to Norwegian Bokmål, one of the two varieties of written Norwegian.

Reasons to learn Danish

Interest in the Danish culture and literature can of course be a sufficient basis for learning Danish. By speaking the language you can get to know the Danish-speaking population and their culture. Danish grammar is not that complicated, but the challenging and interesting pronunciation makes the language special.
